Be respectful of the candidates time as well as experience. Train your interviewers and create an environment where the interview is a discussion instead of an interrogation. Do not make interviewing any more stressful for the candidates than it needs to be.

Let’s not make the interview into a pissing contest. The interview should be a dialogue. Try to learn and gain insight into what the candidate knows and can do for the organization instead of devolving the interview into a “Paradise Bird dance” where both show off who has the brighter plume.

Be respectful of the interviewers. If you feel that the interview is at an impasse or not productive, walk away respectfully. Do not leave the interview with rancor or bitterness.
